The World Food Day celebration is held annually in October with a different theme each year set by the Ministry of Health Nutrition Department. The objective is to raise community awareness about the importance of nutrition to prevent malnutrition. Alola Foundation, through its community based groups had celebrated the world food day celebration in 2 villages of Oecusse region. One of the event activity that has conducted was including competition on preparing nutritious local food using local indigenous products for their family members. The competition has participated by the 6 group consists of 18 mothers from refer village. The event was ended with the nutrition quiz which was involved the entire community member that participated in the celebration.
